Cipriani Family introduces 'Mr C' hotel brand
6 January 2011 21:01:03 GMT
Ignazio and Maggio Cipriani, the fourth generation scions of a family known internationally for its restaurants, have announced the debut of Mr. C, a signature hotel brand opening its first property in Los Angeles in Spring 2011.
Mr. C is described as “a modern version of old-world simplicity and stylish European glamour,” which provides travelers with “a comfortable, elegant and effortless experience that blends contemporary amenities with discreet, personalized service."
The conceptual design for the debut property is by Ignazio Cipriani and Marcello Pozzi, working with Tedeschi USA, on the interiors and Gensler as project architects.
The 138-room LA property will feature 12 Signature Suites and Classic Suites, alongside spacious guest rooms, all ranging from 365-800 square feet, each with a private balcony, and many with panoramic views of Beverly Hills and Los Angeles.
The interior design is rich and welcoming, complete with dark hardwood floors, burgundy and grey color palettes, and crisp white accents. Vintage black and white film photography brings iconic and historic cultural moments to life on the walls, and well-appointed bathrooms feature teak flooring, marble accents, and signature amenities.
Additionally, there will be five multi-level, residential-sized bungalows averaging approximately 3,000 square feet, each with a private garden, gourmet kitchen, plunge pool and views of Beverly Hills. Renowned Californian architect Ray Kappe has designed the bungalows, which will feature all the Mr. C amenities, including spa treatments, housekeeping, and room service from the signature Mr. C restaurant.
The hotel restaurant, under the same name, will feature classic Cipriani dishes alongside grilled specialties and pizzas, perfect for every-day dining, from morning to night. The restaurant will offer indoor and outdoor seating, a separate entrance for non-hotel guests, and two private rooms for more intimate occasions.
In addition, Mr. C will feature an outdoor pool for hotel guests only and indoor/outdoor private event space boasting 360-degree panoramic city views from the 12th floor of the hotel, with a private exterior glass elevator.
The hotel will be located at 1224 Beverwil Drive in Los Angeles.
