Industry leaders to speak at The Sleep Event Conference
08 September 2010 14:30 GMT
The Sleep Event Conference brings together some of the most influential hotel professionals for two days of education, inspiration and networking.
This year, discussions will focus on some of the most exciting hotel projects recently completed across Europe, gathering key decision makers from each to form one-off panel sessions.
Speakers, including designers, architects, developers, investors, owners and operators, will deliver an invaluable insight into the full range of hotels from boutique to luxury, budget to sustainable.
Projects discussed include the ambitious £100 million restoration of the Savoy Hotel in London, and the renovation of Portuguese county house Vidago Palace in Porto. Plus, Tune Hotels’ CEO Mark Lakester will reveal the ‘five-star beds at a one-star price’ philosophy behind the group’s success.
The first day will culminate with an eco-friendly theme, discussing the newly built Costa Navarino Hotel in Greece with Vice-President of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Niall Kelly, and the team behind the project.
The second day of the conference will look to Keynote speaker, world-renowned Theatre and Opera Designer Gary McCann, for inspiration on how the drama of the theatre can be transferred to a hotel environment.
In other sessions, Neil L Worrell of Hilton Worldwide and panel will talk about their new project The Squaire / Hilton & Hilton Garden Inn Frankfurt, representatives from Radisson Blu Waterfront Stockholm will look at the new breed of conference hotel, and the team behind Swire Hotels will speak about the boutique segment of the market.
The Sleep Event Conference will take place from 24-25 November at the Business Design Centre, London. To view the full programme, or book your place at the conference at the discounted early-bird rate, saving £100, visit www.thesleepevent.com.
