W Taipei to open in late 2010

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. has announced the late 2010 opening of W Taipei, designed by London-based GA Design International.
Rising 30 floors, W Taipei will be the only hotel in Taipei with a panoramic vista of the buzzing central business district of Xinyi.
The hotel’s 405 guestrooms and suites will be among the largest in the city, each offering a private sanctuary with spectacular urban views. Features include the signature W Bed with 350-thread-count linens, Bliss® Spa amenities, the Munchie Box, a premium-stocked mini bar. Technology includes high-speed wired and wireless Internet access; flat-screen, 42-inch LCD televisions; Bose sound systems; charging iPod docks; IP phone; and voicemail.
The hotel will feature an eclectic assortment of signature restaurants and lounges including The Kitchen Table Cantonese restaurant, Yen and a WET sky deck, with al fresco dining.
W Taipei will offer more than 2,833m2 of event space. The Mega Room at W Taipei will be the largest pillarless ballroom in the city, at more than 1,039m2 for everything from annual meetings and state dinners to gala wedding banquets and fashion shows.
W Taipei is owned by Uni-President Development Corporation and Times Square International Hotel Corp, a leading conglomerate with headquarters in Tainan. The W Taipei will be the W brand’s seventh property in the Asia Pacific region.
