Thistle’s Kingsley opens its doors after £10 million refurb
01 September 2009 GMT 15:26 (London)
Thistle’s former Bloomsbury hotel has reopened to reveal a £10million transformation as part of the group’s refurbishment programme.
The completion of The Kingsley sees the hotel take on Thistle’s new branding: ‘a guarantee of a relaxed, informal, contemporary yet classic guest experience with improved service standards’.
The centrally located London hotel, housed in a Grade II listed building, has been sensitively restored to reflect its Edwardian heritage whilst injecting a twist of modern inspiration and alluring, dark romanticism.
The hotel features 129 guestrooms including 27 Executive Rooms and Junior Suites, seven air-conditioned conference rooms, a lounge bar, and the Kingsley Two Brasserie, which serves a range of British and European dishes.
Thistle is currently refurbishing all its properties with a total investment of £150 million.
