The interior design team worked closely with Toumeh International’s architects to design a scheme that combines western avant-garde elegance with the region’s history.
 
Mövenpick Hotel Damascus will offer 267 guestrooms and suites, two restaurants, a skybar with views over the city, a piano bar, lobby lounge, fitness area, health spa, beauty centre, outdoor swimming pool and tennis courts. It will also feature a multi-purpose hall seating up to 500 people for banquets and conferences.

The scheme features dramatic interior spaces with influences such as ‘Italian Baroque’ in La Griglia restaurant, whilst Russian-born designer Erté has shaped the design of the Piano Bar. The building is topped with a traditional roof terrace with open air Shisha restaurant.

The project is currently on site with completion due in 2010.
