9 April 2009 16:22 BST (Beijing)

Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast opens its doors in the Chaoyang business district.

Equipped for business meetings, weddings, and conventions, Marriott International’s ninth hotel in China’s capital operates under a management agreement with Beijing Kehang Investment.

The 321 spacious guestrooms are fully equipped with premium amenities from luxurious bedding to iPod docking stations whilst the 200m2 Presidential Suite features a living and dining pavilion with views of the city.

Guests have a choice of four culinary experiences at the Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast. Tamarind, Marriott International’s first Indian restaurant outside of India takes a modern approach towards classical Indian cuisine and is a sophisticated blend of contemporary dishes infused with the richness and freshness of local Chinese spices. A central floating fireplace along with warm saffron and paprika colour tones light up the restaurant with an inviting glow. Choy’s Seafood specialises in traditional Cantonese and Sichuan flavours and features six private dining rooms. Two all-day dining options are Beijing Bistro, where buffets are available throughout the day, and The Lounge, offering live entertainment and relaxation zones.

Beijing Marriott Hotel Northeast offers more than 1,600m2 of banquet and conference space with a grand ballroom measuring 840m2 and six meeting rooms ranging from 50-100m2. As the hotel is situated close to major offices such as Microsoft and IBM, the meetings facilities are ideal for corporate events.

The hotel also offers an indoor heated pool, fully equipped health club, and Quan spa.

Marriott International’s portfolio in Beijing also includes JW Marriott Hotel Beijing, Beijing Marriott Hotel City Wall, Beijing Marriott Hotel West, Renaissance Beijing Capital Hotel, Renaissance Beijing Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Beijing Northeast, Courtyard by Marriott Beijing, and Palm Springs, Beijing – Marriott Executive Apartments.
