New five star Hotel Nikko Saigon opens its doors in Vietnam

The Hotel Nikko Saigon in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, is the new five-star addition to the Nikko Hotels International group and opened its doors on December 18, 2011.
It is the second Nikko Hotels property in Vietnam after the Hotel Nikko Hanoi, which opened in August, 1998.
The hotel is located in the Royal Centre Project, a new commercial complex, making it a very convenient location for business travellers and only a seven minute drive from the city centre and Cholon, Ho Chi Minh’s Chinatown. The hotel is surrounded by large shopping malls and outlets in a lively section of the city and is close to Tao Dan Park, Ho Chi Minh City Hall, and Mariamman Temple. Also nearby are Ben Thanh Market and War Remnants Museum.
The hotel offers a total of 334 spacious guest rooms over 25 floors, with banqueting and meeting facilities ranging from the grand ballroom that holds 600 guests for a cocktail reception-style, to a smaller meeting room and six function rooms.
In conjunction with its business centre, the hotel offers 14 temporary offices, ideal for people preparing to open businesses in Vietnam.
Other facilities include a spacious fitness centre, an outdoor pool and one of the city’s largest spas. Restaurants include La Brasserie (all-day dining with both Western-style and Japanese cuisine), a Chinese ‘Ming Court’ restaurant and a Japanese restaurant. In addition, the hotel provides a limo/town car service, a complimentary breakfast each morning, complimentary access to a train station pick-up service as well as complimentary guest parking. The staff can also arrange concierge services, tour/ticket assistance.
A special opening package is currently being offered for stays from December 18, 2011 through January 31, 2012, in two room categories: Deluxe Rooms (King/Twin) for $120 (£77) per night plus tax and service and a Deluxe Premium King rooms for $140 (£90) per night plus tax and service. The package includes buffet breakfast, Wi-Fi in guest rooms, access to the fitness centre and outdoor pool, and parking. In addition, guests will receive a 15% discount at La Brasserie restaurant.
