David Chipperfield-designed hotel features HI-MACS

Located in the centre of Hamburg, the Empire Riverside Hotel has been complete with extensive use of HI-MACS® acrylic stone.
David Chipperfield selected the mineral-based material, made up of 70% natural stone powder, 25% high-quality acrylic resin and around 5% natural pigments, for its durability and high quality. The environmentally-friendly product, used increasingly by architects and designers, is smooth, hygienic and low-maintenance.
In the bathrooms the washstands are made from HI-MACS® using cutting-edge technology to create integrated products that are join-free and harmonious in appearance.
