Wynn designer Roger Thomas creates new collection for Fromental

Utilising the hand-painting and hand-embroidery techniques that adorn its range of wallpapers, Fromental has interpreted the sketches of renowned interior designer Roger Thomas to create a new collection.
As Design Director for Steve Wynn’s luxury resorts in Las Vegas and Macau, Roger Thomas is also the creative force behind many landmark properties on the Vegas strip including the Mirage and the world-famous Bellagio.
His collection for Fromental embraces elements of distinctive styles from the 17th and 18th centuries. Laced with shimmering metallics, these modern and classical designs are produced on sumptous paper-backed silk.
Inspired by Thomas’ travels to Dresden, ‘Bois’ features hand-painted branches intertwining to create delicate scrolled borders and rococo medallions. Fragments of precious stones and delicate marbles scattered on to a silk background in exquisite jewel colours form ‘Roche-Facettes’. Whilst feathers drift gently across the wall in the ‘Plumes’ pattern, inspired by the delicate decoration of Meissen porcelain. Rendered in hand-painting and exquisite embroidery, the placement and colour can be customised to work in any space.
Other designs include ‘Roche Boules’ which presents smooth gem arrangements and ‘Coraille’, where corals intertwine to create scrolled borders and medallions.
